Number: C-12728

Period: Nazca (100 to 800 AD)

Clados Number: 234 Culture: Nasca Description: vase, C-12728, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era: Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Probably Nasca Valley. Iconographic Features: horizontally drawn Jagged-Staff God (Proulx 2007) or Zackenstab-Dämon (Seler 1923) depicted with Rayed Face head type, human body, and crossed legs. It holds jagged rays in its two hands. Association with spirals. The panel below shows the heads of women (?). They are probably done by using a stencil, because they look nearly identical.
