Period: Tiahuanaco (Tiwanaku IV and V periods between AD 300 and AD 1000)

Rim panel with rectangular units seperated by diagonals. These motifs correspond to Sawyer's paired elements (Sawyer in Rowe Menzel 1967,166 Paired Elements b (Volute/Trophy Head)). The central panel shows another diagonal motif that corresponds to Sawyer's diagonal motif b.It is framed by a maeander motif that normally appears in context with rayed faces.
