Period: Tiahuanaco (Tiwanaku IV and V periods between AD 300 and AD 1000)

Statue showing a man wearing a crown. He only wears a belt and shows signs of starvation (prisoner?). The belt shows the bicephalic serpent. The crown shows a feline serpent flnked by two jaguars on each side. It'sa superbly finished piece with highly polished surface. Museo de Metales Preciosus Precolombinos, La Paz. Cat.no. 269.
